This is a community for people who want to lose a few pounds and want to do so in a healthy, gradual way.
You are encouraged to join if: --you have between 5 and 20 lbs to lose --you are on a slow-and-steady plan --you want support, ideas, recipes and accountability from friendly people --you're thinking about losing weight but don't know how to start --you want to trim and tone, but aren't necessarily unhappy with how you look --you're seeking a healthier lifestyle, with more physical activity and/or better eating
This community is NOT for: --persons who have or promote disordered eating (including anorexia, bulimia, etc.) --people who want to lose a lot of weight quickly --people who are dieting for a short period --people taking dangerous "supplements" or looking for a quick fix
My philosophy is that health comes first; looking good is secondary.
Please note, I *will* be ruthless when it comes to trolls. I *will* close membership to the community if need be. This is a safe space.
Please also note: If you are underweight, you are not welcome here. If you are within the normal range, you are welcome, as long as you intend to stay within a normal range. As a community of mostly-overweight women, you'll probably receive the most support and sympathy if your BMI is over 24. For a BMI calculator and guidelines, see this site.
